Messier 98

M98 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is nearly edge on at approximately 75 degrees. Charles Messier observed and cataloged this galaxy in 1781. If you look carefully more than four dozen smaller galaxies are visible in the field of view.

Although the data was taken in May of 2016, it wasn’t processed until the date listed above. Color data will be coming soon.
