Messier 13

Globular cluster M13 is located in the constellation of Hercules. M13 was initially discovered by Sir Edmond Halley in 1714 and later catalogued by Charles Messier as M13. There are several hundred thousand stars in this densely packed cluster. It is visible in binoculars under relatively dark skies. The small galaxy lower left is NGC 6207.
