The Horsehead Nebula Mosaic
| This region of nebulosity is located at the Belt of Orion. There is over 10 hours of data combined for this two frame mosaic. The Horsehead was first photographed in the late 1800's. It is designated IC 434 and is located just left of center in this image. Also prominent in this photograph is the Flame Nebula. |
